Access arrangements have also changed now that there have been substantial improvements to the new entrance off Tamerton Road and the availability of new main Campus concourse off Lancaster Gardens. Site Access Plan.

Students

Sir John Hunt Community Sports College

Walking or cycling routes are accessed via Lancaster Gardens and Tamerton Road. Access across Dameral’s Field is temporarily suspended and a new entrance via Whitleigh Woods will open in the summer.

Woodlands Special School

From November 2008 all students can access Woodlands Special School reception via the new road off Tamerton Road.

Whitleigh Community Primary School

Children have pedestrian access via the main campus entrance throughout the day and via Lancaster Gardens. Parents may drop their children off using the dedicated drop off zones via the Tamerton Road entrance at the beginning and end of school session times.

Wise Owls 1

At the beginning and end of session times parents may drop off and collect their children via the entrance off the Campus concourse and via the Tamerton Road, using dedicated drop off zones.

Wise Owls

This is the old Acorns Nursery based at Woodfield Primary School and access is off Taunton Avenue, Whitleigh.

Centre for Young Parents

Students using taxis to transport themselves and their babies will be dropped off close to the Centre’s entrance off the Campus concourse. Other students can access the Campus via Tamerton Road and Lancaster Gardens at the beginning and end of the day.

Parents

Parents accessing the Campus during the day should report to dedicated receptions on the Campus. Children’s Centre including health visitors.

Visitors

Visitors to the site should note the Campus address is: Lancaster Gardens, Whitleigh, Plymouth. PL9 8TX and dedicated visitors parking is currently available in car park 1 off the Tamerton road entrance. From summer 2009 visitors will park in car park 4 off Lancaster Gardens.

Staff

Staff are encouraged to consider walking, cycling and use of public transport as their main means of travelling to work. Car park places are allocated on application to one of three car parks on site.

Access via Tamerton Road. Report to Site Security on arrival and ring help desk : 0800 0234682.

Community users out of school hours

Community users should report to the main Campus reception via Lancaster Gardens on arrival. After 6pm additional car parking will also be available in the visitor’s car park off Lancaster Gardens.
