Crossing the line running

We are all delighted that our first phase of the new build is complete and Whitleigh Primary, Wise Owls Nursery, Whitleigh Children’s Centre with the Centre for Young Parents are all settling into their new environments. The move from the old accommodation was remarkably smooth and staff and children are doing well!

Most parents have adjusted well to the temporary access arrangements and if you click on the link you will see the landscape drawing (drawing) that shows the end site once all buildings have been demolished and landscaped. We anticipate that Interserve construction team will be here until late spring /early summer 2009.

At the moment we are all trying hard to move Sir John Hunt Community Sports College into as much of the new build as possible in September and be in all the spaces by the end of October. There will be a lot of hard work happening right up to the end of the summer holidays and when students return fresh and ready there will be many adults ready for a break!!

Woodlands Special School will then move up when most routines are settled and they have been involved in a phased induction to life on the Campus.

Life here is incredibly exciting and with no mean challenges ahead the future is as bright as it has ever been.

Have a great summer break everyone.
